CLEVELAND, Ohio - Remember the Bud Light Victory Fridges? They're back - sort of. Beginning next week, you can buy one.
Bud Light says “B.L. & Brown’s Appliance Superstore” will sell large and small Victory Fridges. They will cost $199.99 to $599.99 at the store.
Never heard of B.L. & Brown's Appliance Superstore? It doesn't exist. It's actually a vacant store front, a former hair salon at 1870 W. 25th St., in Cleveland's Ohio City neighborhood. The fridges will be its only product sold in the store.
The sale is scheduled for 1-9 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 3, and Wednesday, Sept. 4. Fans can either buy a fridge and have it delivered later, or take one home, a spokeswoman said.
Bonus: Anyone 21 or older who visits the store will receive a redemption code to stock it with Bud Light. The code is redeemable for up to $15 worth of Bud Light, and customers don’t have to buy a fridge. The code is redeemable Tuesday, Sept. 3 through Thursday, Sept. 26.
WWE wrestler and Northeast Ohio native The Miz will hawk the fridges in a television commercial that riffs on the bombastic, loud sales-pitch style some stores and companies use to sell their products.
Previous coverage: Browns fans: Free beer coming the moment the team wins
Bud Light's Victory Fridges campaign a year ago is well-known and came on the heels of the team's winless 2017 season. Last year, the company positioned several of the locked fridges, full of beer, around the city, setting them to open via smart technology the moment the Browns won their first game.
